Hilderman And Bobi Wine Clash. The president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), Eddy Kenzo has attacked NUP as he called it a disorganized party. This followed the clash of statements between party president Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and shadow minister of entertainment, Hon Hilary Kiyaga alias Dr Hilderman.
A few weeks ago, Bobi Wine spoke at the party headquarters and tore through musicians. This was after reports that singers are going to receive 30 billion shillings for their SACCO.
Bobi Wine said that this was money from the government to musicians to fight him. Additionally he said that this was corruption as this money had the ability to build another Kiruddu hospital.
However, Dr Hilderman recently said that his party president spoke out of ignorance. And this was partly due to the MP not informing his leader.
According to Hilderman, it would be hypocritical from him not to recognize the problems musicians are faced with. He also said that it was wrong of him not to tell Bobi Wine that the money is not for Kenzo but the industry.
Speaking about this matter, Eddy Kenzo said that this is largely down to miscommunication and disorganization in the party. Apparently there should have been structures to communicate the proper information.
“I would largely blame this on miscommunication and disorganization in the party. They should be having proper structures to pass on the proper information,” he said.
Furthermore, the singer also said that even as musicians, they have been disorganized for long. This is why the industry was being helped by the government. However, with the UNMF, President Museveni promised to help them and he’s already doing so. Hilderman And Bobi Wine Clash
