DJ Jacob’s Studio Kwepicha Collapses Dembe FM. Nation Media Group last night announced how one of its companies, radio station, Dembe FM will be going off air for the foreseeable future. According to a notice released, they won’t be having any scheduled programming in the coming days.
Apparently, they apologized for any inconveniences caused. And added that the board of directors will also have talks. This is to see if there are viable means to continue it as a business venture.
“We regret to inform our esteemed listeners, clients and other stakeholders of 90.4 Dembe FM that the station will, for the foreseeable future, have no scheduled programming as the Board and Management reassesses its continued viability as a business concern. We apologise for any inconveniences that this may cause,” read the announcement.
Dembe FM has been under the Nation Media Group. This is the company that owns Monitor Publications, NTV Uganda, Spark TV amd KFM. It’s apparently a Kenyan company.
Furthermore, it was before not affiliated to the company and was situated in Nakaseero. However, it was bought and transferred to the industrial area in Namuwongo.
Additionally, Dembe FM has had some of the most popular presenters in the country. These included Kasuku, Eddie Sendi, Jenkins Mukasa, Bina Baibe, DJ Jacob Omutuuze among others.
Apparently some conspiracy theorists are saying that DJ Jacob’s Studio Kwepicha could habe led to the collapse of the station. While talking to a local YouTuber, the Bunamwaya LC III chairperson revealed how there is a popular female singer he chewed in studio.
Others are saying that after coming so hard at singer Eddy Kenzo with all kinds of grave accusations, he’s now been paid. Well it’s not clear where some of the radio’s presenters will be heading.
