Spice Diana Biography .Spice Diana, whose real name is Namukwaya Hajara Diana, is a musician from Uganda. Raised by a single mother, Spice Diana is the eldest of three children. She received her elementary and secondary education at Kibuli Demonstration School and St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School.
She discovered her gift for singing and rapping at Kampala Citizens School, which she also attended. Apparently, she battled to juggle her studies and music until earning a Bachelor of Industrial Arts from Makerere University.
MUSIC CAREER
With her successful track Onsanula, Spice Diana launched her music career in 2014 and received an award the following year.Dr. Fizol of Avie Records served as her first manager. In 2016, she then joined with Humble Management and Twinkle Star as record companies before going solo.
Among her several successes are “Anti Kale,” “I miss you,” and “Buteke.” She made the decision to host awards ceremonies in 2016 to honor her team, which she called the Team Spice Diana Awards. Spice Diana shared the stage alongside up-and-coming musicians at the awards ceremony.
She has also worked with a variety of national and international musicians, such as Jamaican Orisha Sound, Pallaso, Ray G, and Aganaga. Others include Fik Fameica, Nince Henry among others.
In 2015, she took up the Best Female Breakthrough Artist title at the 3rd HiPipo Music Awards. Besides, the winner is determined by a popular vote on social media.

CONTROVERSIES
2017 police incident
After singing just one song at the Kampala City Festival in 2017, Spice Diana received an invitation to perform again and was physically assaulted by Ugandan police. She was belting out a stanza from Onsanula, which talks about how the police work against the people. She claimed on social media that she might have been beaten because of the lyrics.
HEALTH FEARS
She experienced a health scare in late 2022, which resulted in hospitalization and death rumors. Later on, she acknowledged receiving treatment for a damaged hernia and gave thanks to Jesus for sparing her life.
MURDER IN HER HOME
In 2022, a 27 year old man known as Henry Hamza Nsamba was murdered at her home in Makindye. Apparently, a number of conspiracies arose over his death. It’s said that he was beaten by those inside the singer’s home after he was mistaken to be a thief. However, other theories stated that he was a close friend of the singer who was killed intentional. Up until now, it’s not yet clear why and how he was murdered.
Marital Status
In the public eye, the singer is known to be single. However, she has in several occasions revealed that she’s into a relationship she doesn’t want to divulge to the public. Most rumors suggest that she’s in an intimate relationship with her music manager, Roger Lubega. Apparently, the two however have severally denied this.
