Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will kick off the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025 on Saturday. By eliminating Afghanistan in the penultimate group-stage clash in Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka secured an unbeaten run into the next round, joining Bangladesh from Group B.
From Group A, India and Pakistan had already sealed their progression after Pakistan’s victory over UAE on Wednesday. This sets up a much-anticipated second India vs Pakistan showdown on September 21 in Dubai. India, who defeated Pakistan in their group-stage meeting in Dubai, remain unbeaten ahead of their final group game against Oman.
Following the schedule, Pakistan will enjoy a day’s rest before meeting Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi. Bangladesh, however, face a tougher path, with back-to-back fixtures—against India on September 24 and Pakistan on September 25, both in Dubai.
The Super Four stage will wrap up on September 26, when India take on Sri Lanka in Dubai. The top two teams from this stage will advance to the Asia Cup 2025 final on September 28, also set to take place in Dubai. Notably, no points will be carried forward from the group stage into the Super Four round.
