Grenade Was Arrested At Fik Fameica’s Show. Singer Grenade Official spent a couple hours behind bars last night after being arrested. The Nkuloga singer had just stepped off stage when 6 security operatives handcuffed him.
He was then led away from the venue and taken to prison. Later on however and luckily, he was released on bail and didn’t spend much time there. This was made possible by the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, Eddy Kenzo who secured his release. His arrest was due to assaulting fellow musician, Rickman last year.
“Earlier today while performing at the Fik Fameica concert, singer Grenade was arrested by 6 plain clothed people and charged with assault a case he is accused of beating fellow singer Rickman last year.
News coming in now is he has been released courtesy of Eddy Kenzo intervention. Uganda Musicians’ President whose role amongst many is to see to it that artistes enjoy their deserved privileges has come to play again securing Grenade his freedom.”
It should be noted that Grenade allegedly assaulted Rickman and Sheilah Gashumba’s camp at a bar in Kampala a few months ago. As per Sheilah and Rickman’s account, he threw a bottle that cut the Hangover singer’s lower lip. In fact rapper spent sometime in hospital.
However, Grenade accused of Rickman and his group for attacking him. It was they that wanted to hurt him and he accused the Baliwanika singer of trying to kill him. This is because he allegedly dated Sheilah some time back a thing she refutes.
