Gold Prices in Pakistan Hit New High, Rising Rs1,900 Per Tola

October 16, 2025 (MLN): The gold price in Pakistan continued its upward momentum on Thursday, with the rate of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs1,900 per tola to reach Rs442,800, according to data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams climbed by Rs1,629, bringing it to Rs379,629. The 22-karat gold rate also saw an uptick, standing at Rs348,005 per 10 grams.

The precious metal hit a record high in local markets, marking its fifth consecutive session of gains, as investors turned to gold as a safe-haven asset amid escalating trade tensions between the U.S. and China, a partial U.S. government shutdown, and growing expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts.

Experts note that both local currency depreciation and rising international gold prices have contributed to the sustained rally in Pakistan’s gold market.
